MACHINE BASE AND FRAME:
High carbon steel tube and plate are used for the rigid all-welded construction.
Support flanges are welded to the bottom of the machine with holes provided for
floor mounting. All moving parts are enclosed for operator protection. Removable
panels are provided for easy access during service and maintenance work. Totally
insulated with 2 inches of high density fiber batt to maintain set temperature. This
dryer is designed to operate at a maximum of 250 degree air temperature.
CONVEYOR:
The 24" wide conveyor belt is constructed of stainless steel 1/2"x 1" mesh and is
driven with roller chain through a gear reducer for positive drive. Guard edges help
confine the parts within the standard " working width of the belt.
CONVEYOR DRIVE:
1/2 HP motor, 460, 3 phase with a 400:1 gear reducer external of the heated
chamber. Conveyor speed is 2.5 feet per minute. The conveyor is protected with a
torque limiting clutch to prevent damage if jamming occurs.
DRYER SYSTEM:
Heat for the dryer is provided by a 24 KW heater located within the re-circulating air
duct. The blower used for re-circulating delivers 5600 C.F.M./air at 6 inches static
pressure. This unit is powered by a 10 HP 460 3 phase motor.
