Burnishing Compounds and Chemicals
These compounds are formulated to develop cosmetic color on metals. All compounds include
cleaning and oxidation prevention agents. All compounds are completely and rapidly
biodegradable and non-hazardous.

B-56 Burnishing

This is our best all around slightly acidic burnishing-cleaning compound. A low foaming
formulation B-56 will develop a luxurious shine all ferrous and non-ferrous metals in either
steel or hard ceramic media. This compound will also improve the feed in most steel
burnishing machines. A concentration of 1/2 to 1 ounce per gallon of water will work for most
burnishing and cleaning applications.

B-57 Burnishing/Cleaning

B-57 is formulated to burnish and brighten aluminum and ferrous metals. The detergent
system is designed to clean the toughest soils while burnishing to a bright lustrous color.
When used at the recommended concentration of 1/2-1 ounce per gallon of water the
inhibiting system will prevent corrosion during and after processing on steel, aluminum and
zinc.

B-57M Burnishing/Polishing/Cleaning

This slightly acidic compound will develop a bright, mirror like finishing on steel and
aluminum while processing with steel or porcelain media. An excellent cleaner and inhibitor it
will produce bright, clean parts that can be dried and packed without further processing.
Recommended dilution 1/2-1 oz per gallon.

M-215 Burnishing/Cleaning

This slightly alkaline compound can be used with steel, plastic, ceramic and other media for
cleaning, deburring and burnishing both ferrous and non-ferrous metals. It contains extra
strength detergents that will clean any soil but they are mild enough to be used with any
metal and any media. At concentrations of 1/2 to 1-1/2 ounces per gallon of water M-125 will
also prevent corrosion both during and after processing.

P-21 Cleaning, Deburring & Burnishing Powder

P-21 is formulated to clean most soils from parts and media while deburring with ceramic,
plastic or other media. It is specially formulated to leave a desirable cosmetic color and shine
on the part. Its proprietary system of inhibitors will also keep the part looking like new. Can
be used in a horizontal barrel.


837-B Burnishing/Cleaning

Alkaline cleaning & burnishing compound with inhibitor for use with vibratory finishing
equipment.  Low foaming in most applications, mainly used for precision cleaning with hard
porcelain media.

855-B Burnishing

Mildly acidic, liquid burnishing compound with inhibitor for use with vibratory finishing
equipment.  Low foaming in most applications, it maintains steel burnishing media in a highly
reflective, bright condition.

Recycling burnishing compounds can be
deleterious to results, but if desired a biocide
can be added to any of these compounds to
prevent spoilage in a recycling system.
